Kathleen Dotts, a ninth-grade advanced English teacher at Huntsville High School, has a long career of improving the quality of education for students in Huntsville. She has spent more than 30 years in education, and developed and taught the first Shakespeare elective course in Huntsville city schools. Dotts has an M.A. in English and a certification in Gifted and Talented from the University of North Carolina. She served as chair of the Vive le Livre Committee and co-chair of the Porche/Panoply Celebration and Connoisseur Plant Auction. Dotts currently serves on the Huntsville City Schools' committee on required reading.
